Design of four Imperial yellow gilt metal five clawed dragons facing to the center surrounded by ruyi-shaped clouds in silk on a red felt foundation surrounded by a later outer valvet frame. Altar embroideries would originally have been hung from the front of a grand altar, or hung on the wall above and behind the altar. Late Qing dynasty, 19th century. 216×86 cm.
