The censer is supported on three caparisoned elephant-head feet and with a pair of similar elephant-head handles, the sides cast in relief with lotus scroll, beneath a border of key fret repeated on the pierced cover, which is also cast with lotus scroll below a recumbent caparisoned elephant supporting on its back a large cylinder containing lingzhi and an ingot laden with three jewels, the base cast with a four character mark reading "TIAN YUN ZAO YU" (Praying for rain).
