玉壶春瓶造型始于宋代，因宋人诗句“玉壶先春”而得名，以雍正、乾隆时期制作最为精良，但多为青花之作。霁红，又作祭红，为祭祀日坛用色，是清代官窑高温铜红釉的典范，乾隆以后，霁红釉色逐渐暗淡，再难恢复到盛世的水平。拍品线条秀美流畅，瓶身外壁尽施霁红釉，釉面平整光盈，发色深沉凝重，底部青花书“大清道光年制”六字三行篆书款，为清道光之官作。参阅：《故宫博物院藏文物珍品大系 - 颜色釉》P30，红釉玉壶春瓶
