此盒为蔗段式，扁平，子母口。内髹褐漆，漆质坚美。外壁髹朱漆，剔红雕饰图纹，边缘饰云雷纹，勾连往复，规矩整齐。盒盖面图案层次丰富，以锦纹为地，上雕饰庭院作息图，松下一人坐在椅子上，旁边站立两童子，一遍嬉笑一遍仰头倾，甚有趣意。文人雅致相往题材常见于剔红漆器之中，剔红香盒红润光亮，制者以明快简练刀法，琢饱满干练的线条，刻划神形入微，于方寸间见清逸心境，乃精工之作。
