渣斗选用铜胎制成，大口长颈，圆口若喇叭状，鼓腹饱满，高圈足。颈肩交接处，通转饰缠枝花卉文，气息连贯。在渣斗腹部，采用开窗手法，如意形窗内饰以清供图，枝繁叶茂，细腻光泽。线条錾刻流畅，具有高超的艺术表现力，纹饰之金色与壶身之深沉的原铜包浆形成鲜明的颜色对比。口沿和高圈足为达到上下统一的装饰风格，亦采用缠枝花卉纹通周饰之。整器造型别致，纹饰精美，工艺精湛考究。为宫廷器物造型的典范。
