觹为白玉精制而成，带皮，玉质纯净温润。器身细长呈锥尖状，一端圆雕螭龙立于器首，长尾自然垂下，卷于器身，整体比例合适，富有立体感，形象表现自然生动。觹身刻双阴线兽面装饰。清代玉作多为仿古，形式多样，多作佩饰。觹为古代佩饰使用，《说文》释觹“佩角，锐端可以解结”。后因其形演绎引申而成艺术题材，象征智慧破除迷障，佩戴者不为迷茫所惑。此玉觹玉质温润，细腻坚实，寓意深远，饶富逸趣，把玩于掌，回味无穷
