壁瓶又称挂瓶或轿瓶，深得宫廷钟爱，《清高宗御制诗文全集》有七首咏挂瓶的诗，反复吟咏，可见乾隆皇帝尤其喜欢壁瓶。此对壁瓶为铜胎，一侧为平面，喇叭口，球形腹，足部承紫檀木莲纹座。瓶身通体以曲纹锦地，颈部开光书“御制”二字。腹部圆形开光，内书“延来总佳景，妙处是天工，四时皆得趣，无日不看花”。全器古朴典雅，与瓷制壁瓶繁缛堂皇的风格形成鲜明对比，更显金石之气。
