此壶为传统壶式之孟臣梨形壶，以朱泥而制，胎质紧致。腹部圆鼓，扁珠钮，三弯嘴朝天，环形圈把，弧线流畅优美。整器做工精致，虽表面光素，但仍由内而外显露出一种大方、之气。壶底采用竹刀划刻“十里湖山绿树多，孟臣制”，堪为清代中期梨形壶中的典范之作，是文人雅客把玩的理想器选。
