other: rosewood and satinwood, elongated, curved body with knee-hole for biger leg space, standing on elegantly curved square legs, triple hinged cover plate (the sides outwards and the center to the back), inner panels veneered with rosewood, the middle part mirrored inside, a central drawer in the middle, above it an extendable shelf, covered with black leather, the side elements have two more drawers each, all sides are decorated with framed bouquet, coat of arms of the Republic of the United Netherlands on the middle plate, showing a rising lion with a sword and a bunch of arrows (the lion symbolized the foundations on which the United Provinces were based, unity and military strength), here the crown on the lion's head is not depicted, the heraldic emblem is surrounded by flower garlands and war trophies, floral-formed gilded bronze fittings rubbed, two keys attached, time-related signs of age and wear, veneer with few restorations, large-scale inlay on center plate with almost continuous vertical crack, small chipping and restorations, other inlays partly with slight signs of wear, old mirror with small crack in lower left and a few blind spots, H × W × D: ca.78x86x54cm, expert report (Nov.1977) enclosed
