Damaged in his home in the 1971 San Fernando earthquake, the jar was repaired by museum volunteers and subsequently gifted to Charles E. Rozaire, (1927-2016), Curator of Archaeology at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County from 1964 to 1990
