|炉铜质，矮身，凸唇束颈，双桥耳对饰唇缘两侧，腹扁鼓，下承三乳足，腹底中央剔刻“大明宣德年制”六字楷书款，书风端庄，剔刻犀利。通体在熟褐色的体表施以点金工艺，点金分布自然，斑驳灿烂。|冲耳炉造型凝重，《炉谱》记载其为古代祭祀之用。点金炉，又叫洒金炉，是明代铜炉装饰的一种特殊工艺，其工艺用铅和汞熔炼的金水，经过多道特殊工艺完成，因其花纹殊异，金光熠熠，十分喜人，深受炉友宝爱。此炉造型端庄典雅，整器宝光毕现，光泽可人，尤款识剔刻工整娴熟，殊为难得。其通体古色古韵，意蕴十足，穆穆古风，不由人心仪揽怀藏而赏之。
