题识：遐举为刘岘同志版画家题字。|钤印：王、遐举、七十年代 |王遐举（1909-1995）湖北荆州人。原名克元，号野农，书法家，擅长国画，尤善梅竹，通史学、工诗文。1931年于武昌中华大学肄业。三、四十年代，历任小学、中学教师，部队书记官，湖南祁阳纺织厂办事处主任，湖北省府编译室编译员，长沙《国民日报》编辑、资料室主任。1950年于文化部戏曲改进局工作，1953年至1969年于中国戏曲研究院从事舞台美术研究。1976年起于中国美术馆展览部从事书画工作，为研究馆员。历任民革中央监察委员、中央文史馆馆员、中国书法家协会理事、中国书法艺术研究院院长等。
