铭文：|1.闽中谢汝奇作。|2.暧暧含光，既坚既渥。磨而不磷，全真保璞。王瑶铭。钤印：瑶 玉墀 |说明：砚随形而近长方，砚体厚重饱满，一角开井字小池，线条圆浑。石色紫，细腻无瑕，坚润而有锋，发墨流利。||作者简介：谢士骥［清］，字汝奇，又字宏卿。闽县（今福州）人，约活动于康熙至乾隆间。工诗善书，与同邑周太史绍龙交好，书名亦相伯仲。篆刻图章得斜蝙法，雕虫鱼兽钮须鳞欲动。端溪砚石，一经磨琢，即成佳制。栖隐以老，著有《春草集》。琢砚事，顾二娘以俗雅胜，谢士骥以文雅胜，则汝奇实高顾氏一筹。
