A Chinese tin figurine of a man and a woman driving a horse-drawn cart dating from the Republic period. Dimensions are: 4 1/2 inches tall X 9 1/2 inches wide. A wooden puppet from the puppet shows shown at the Chinese Opera dressed in the costume of an emperor. There is 1 character carved on the back of the puppet's neck, and his torso, arms, legs, and head are carved from wood. The puppet's blue ground dragon robe has a Shou collar and ruyi designs with a red belt. Dimensions are: 10 1/4 inches tall X 10 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The cart figurine is in poor condition with breakage to the carriage and the servant, the servant's hat has been broken and reattached, the crown has bent elements, both wheels are losing their covering, one lamp is missing from the cart, and there is paint wear to the figures. The horse-drawn cart has very significant paint and surface wear. The opera puppet is missing some elements of its headdress, the top know is chipped, the arms of the robe are worn and frayed,
