A Chinese ink on paper painting of bamboo and rocks by Ma Shouhua (1893-1977) and given to Mr. Jishi. The painting has a wooden dowel and is mounted on a silk backing but with no hanger. The painting has 3 seals, a description, and a dedication. Dimensions are: 38 inches tall X 13 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The painting has significant creasing and the backing is torn in several areas. Provenance: From the estate of a Silver Spring, Maryland woman whose father was Yu Jishi, a top Nationalist general and a close confidant of Chiang Kai-shek.
