A Japanese WWII Kai Gunto Naval Marine Officers Sword. Circa 1934 Pattern Toyokawa Naval Arsenal blade. Tang stamp: Anchor in a circle. Push fit, single ash scabbard, wood liner, plain black laquer covered. Brown tsuba-ito (hilt binding) over black same. Oval blackened iron tsuba. Correct replica saru-te and plain brown sword-knot with tassels. Sword type associated with the Special Naval Landing Forces (SNLF). Blade length to tsuba approx cms. Blade width approx cms. Matching numbers on tsuba, seppa, kuchi-gane and habaki, hand painted on tang in kanji nr 41.
