上師是西藏佛教對具有高德勝行，堪為世人軌範者的尊稱，在藏傳佛教的修行中佔有重要地位。此尊上師坐像呈比丘相，頭蓄短髮，臉龐圓潤，眉目清秀，雙目有神，表情肅穆，形象生動寫實。坐姿挺拔，上身內著僧支，外披袈裟，衣紋寫實自然，袈裟鏨刻精美的紋樣，做工極為精細。左手結禪定印托經書，右手上揚結說法印。上師跏趺端坐於雙層卡墊之上，整體結構比例均稱，形象生動傳神，儀態慈悲安詳。衣紋流暢、花紋細密，在金光熠熠的輝映下，光華耀眼，顯得莊重而富麗。
