|民国邵蛰民在《增补古今源流考》记有“清瓷彩色至乾隆而极，其彩釉之仿他物者亦以乾隆为最多最精……”。此印玺则为仿石纹彩釉，勾绘石头纹理，呈色、质感均与石头酷似，纹理清晰，摹仿逼真，瓷石莫辨。印文：所宝惟贤。底款：乾隆年制。所宝惟贤”语出《尚书·旅獒》：“不宝远物，则远人格；所宝惟贤，则迩人安。”乾隆帝将此为文入玺，以明其求贤若渴，绥远抚近之心迹。
