|龙纹装饰贯穿了明代玉器的始末。此件龙纹插牌也不例外。大多上层主体纹饰为花卉龙纹，龙圆眼，眼环及面部周围有凹槽纹，长角，露齿，身体及四肢呈细长形，浅斜细格以示鳞，风车状足，底层饰草花底。玉色洁白，质地细腻，晶莹温润。工艺及其繁缛，多层镂空，透雕精细，一条龙伏于其上，从视觉上强调龙的形态和动感，极具明代风格。
