|潘西凤，号老桐、老同，别号天姥老樵。祖籍浙江新昌，侨居扬州。他与“扬州八怪”中的郑板桥结为挚友，是清代乾隆年间的竹雕大家。潘西凤视竹如命，酷爱刻竹。师承濮澄，以浅刻为主，偶有透雕。所制器物则形神兼备。郑板桥称其为濮澄之后金陵派的“第一人”。
