Argentine lieutenant general and politician (1895-1974) who was thrice elected President of Argentina. Two items: a vintage matte-finish 6.5 x 9 half-length portrait of Juan Peron in his military uniform, affixed to its original 8.25 x 12 mount, which bears a calligraphic inscription dated March 27, 1953, and is signed in bold fountain pen by Peron; and an untranslated ALS from Peron penned on an off-white 4.5 x 3.5 card, which forwards the included photograph. In overall very good to fine condition, with silvering to the image, and toning and damage to the top of the mount; the letter is fine, with a light stain touching the last name of the signature.Format: Signed Photo and ALS
