A Victorian Silver Hip Flask. The hip flask Inscribed Dr Charles Owen Fowler, Sheffield hallmark, mm James Dickson & Sons, the hip flask inscribed 'Presented to C. Owen Fowler Esq by the Nurses and Servants of the Fever Hospital, as a mark of their affection and esteem' dated 1st October 1883, approx 215 gms. Note: Charles Owen Fowler Assistant Medical Officer to London Fever Hospital Islington. He held the post of Deputy Coroner of Croydon for 18 years. Chairman of Public Health for 3 years; Chairman for Borough Isolation Hospital for 4 years and Justice of the Peace.
