A Chinese 4-panel rosewood screen with 4 small kesi panels inset in a glass-fronted tableau dating from early 19th century. The rosewood panels are carved with flowers and vine tracery. Dimensions are: each wooden panel measures 63 inches tall X 13 3/4 inches wide, while each glass-fronted kesi section measures 30 3/4 inches tall X 10 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The rosewood panels have splits from dryness, especially at the back. The kesi panels have spotting and staining. Provenance: From a Detroit collector.
