An early 20th century Chinese coral red porcelain brush washer. The brush washer depicts a gold-toned dragon among ruyi-shaped clouds in the interior, and the exterior features Shou characters with lotus tracery with 5 sculpted ruyi feet. It has a 6-character Qianlong mark on the bottom, but is from the 20th century. Dimensions are: 3 inches tall X 7 3/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There are a few glaze skips, some wear to the gold paint, and a 5/16 inch firing defect in the interior. Provenance: From Mr. Ken in Atlanta, GA, collected over 30 years ago.
