Bob Gimlin (born 1931) and Roger Patterson (1933–1972) famously captured an alleged sasquatch or Bigfoot on tape in 1967 in Northern California; the footage, known as the Patterson–Gimlin film, has been subjected to many attempts to authenticate or debunk it, and is widely considered the most iconic of Bigfoot images.
