Letter headed "Copy of Address to be sent to Maxim Gorky," in full: "We the undersigned beg to offer you our sincere congratulations on the serious attention and favourable reception given to your drama 'The Lower Depths' by a full and representative audience on the occasion of its performance at the Kingsway Theatre, being its first public performance in England, on the 2nd December, 1911."
