DS, one page, 8.5 x 11, July 24, 1957. Consent and waiver of a notice for a special meeting for the Marilyn Monroe Productions board of directors, in full: "The undersigned, being all the directors of Marilyn Monroe Productions, Inc., a New York corporation, hereby severally waive all notice whatsoever of the special meeting of the Board of Directors of said Corporation, and consent that said meeting be held at the offices of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, 575 Madison Avenue, New York 22, N.Y., on Wednesday, July 24, 1957, for the transaction thereat of all such business as may lawfully come before said meeting." Signed nicely at the conclusion by Monroe, and countersigned by Robert H. Montgomery, Jr., and George Levine. In fine condition, with two small pieces of tape on the reverse lightly showing through at the upper corners. Spurred by her desire to have more control over her career, Monroe and business partner Milton Greene formed the independent film production company, Marilyn Monroe Productions, in 1955. The studio made two filmsÂBus Stop in 1956, and the Prince and the Showgirl in 1957Âbut folded soon thereafter when Monroe's once cordial relationship with Greene dissolved after Arthur Miller accused Greene of undermining his wife in order to further his own financial interests.Format: DS
