An original Cana Variety Agency contract between the owner of Liverpool's Cavern Club, Ray McFall, and trombonist Cyril Preston, in which the latter agrees to perform with his jazz band at the Cavern Club on September 9, 1962, for a sum of £30. Signed at the conclusion in ballpoint by Preston. In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. Consignor notes that the contract comes from the collection of the former Cavern Club compère, Bob Wooler. Preston shared the Cavern Club with the Beatles on the same September 9th bill. The Beatles performed so frequently at the Cavern Club, often times as a supporting act, that contracts were not normally a requirement.Format: DS
