Henry Roeland Byrd (1918–1980), better known as Professor Longhair or 'Fess,' was a New Orleans blues singer and pianist who was posthumously inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and earned a Grammy Award for his early recordings released as House Party New Orleans Style.
