款识：“大明嘉靖年制”六字双行楷书款 说明 珐琅彩器指在养心殿御作坊制成的彩绘瓷、铜及料器。养心殿毗邻帝王住处，便于圣上直接检察成品。康熙时期，宫廷御作在江西景德镇烧制之白瓷上绘珐琅彩料，制作精致华美的御瓷。受西洋画师直接影响，彩瓷绘饰甚具洋风，着重模仿自然，以光影明暗营造质感、深度及透视。是专门为皇帝烧的御用瓷，存世稀少，尤显珍贵。杯身以珐琅彩绘桃花孔雀图案，花叶敷施深浅有致，各有姿态。桃花娇艳，枝干呈浅褐色。枝干次序井然，充分表现画家功力。枝头花朵或含苞待放，或绽瓣盛开。所用彩料质感厚，鲜艳。中国传统艺术讲究“图必有意，意必吉祥”，孔雀在中国传统文化中是吉祥幸福的象征，亦象征着美好的爱情。
