此面座以红木制成，为器物底座，长方形，有束腰，镂雕缠枝莲纹足，通体为紫红色，雕工精练，玲珑剔透，包浆自然， 缠枝莲纹，又名“万寿藤”，为中国木器家具的传统纹样，寓意吉庆。因其结构连绵不断，故又具“生生不息”之意。这是以一种藤蔓卷草经提炼概括变化而成的图案，纹样婉转多姿、富有动感。颇具文人书气。
