此炉宽边平口，口沿上有两立耳。口下承四圆柱足。通身洒金。明末清初之际，慕古之风盛行。商鼎周尊造型的器物开始出现在上层社会的装饰中，并成为文房清供之佳物。此件与清代大多数仿三代古铜器一样，该鼎造型仿商周时期青铜鼎而铸，整体协调匀称，苞光内敛，庄严肃穆。
