棋盘选用黄花梨料，呈盘形状，立墙微高，深约三指，底部嵌有二十四个象牙点及两个半月形弯，象牙镶嵌妥帖，与黄花梨的色泽相得益彰。双陆棋是一种竞技棋戏，唐元兴胜，明朝落败，清中失传。双陆棋子为马形，黑白各十五枚，两人相博，掷骰子按点行棋。
