通胎掐丝珐琅俗称景泰蓝，是一种清宫造办处特有的制作工艺。此件鼎式炉通体以铜为胎，嵌银丝，填珐琅色，最后烧制而成。器形稳重，双侧饰夔龙纹耳，炉身六分，下承三足，是皇家贵人用于室内香薰所用器具。色彩缤纷，工艺繁复，乃内廷之宝，赏心悦目。
