Northern Ireland Political Ephemera. This lot comprises a drawing depicting Bobby Sands during the Blanket Protest. Drawn in pen with sensitivity it reads 'It is not those who can inflict the most, but those who can endure the most'. It is understood that the pen drawing has been executed on a remnant of an H-block bed sheet. The artist is unknown but believed to be a fellow prisoner. Note: The handkerchief was among the personal effects of the Governor at that time The Late John Stewart Evans MBE Royal Ulster Constabulary.
