Clark, date code for 1898, decorated with a signed panel of 'Chelsea birds' reserved on a blue, green and gilt ground, iron-red factory marks, 15cm high Note: Ellis Clark worked at Osmaston Road, mostly painting landscapes but also 'Chelsea birds' circa 1885-1901 before becoming a teacher at Derby Technical College.
