Hindley & Sons, Oxford Street, London, and serial numbered 8993 to one drawer, 141cm high, 84cm wide, 45cm deep In 1844 Hindley & Sons, rug and floor cloth makers of 32 Berners Street, purchased the successful cabinet making firm of Miles & Edwards and moved into their premises at 134 Oxford Street. This gave them the capacity to produce furniture of the highest quality and they became one of the elite group of London cabinetmakers with Royal appointments who exhibited at the Great ExhibitionϒIndicates that this lot may be subject to CITES regulations when exported.
