镜作八瓣葵花形，圆钮，无钮座。镜钮上饰几丛修竹，下饰崇岭高峰，左为王子乔吹笙，右为凤鸟闻声而至。“王子乔吹笙引凤”为唐镜中常见的神仙故事题材，反映了当时社会推崇的道教思想。汉代刘向所撰的《列仙传•王子乔》载:“王子乔者，周灵王太子晋也。好吹笙作凤凰鸣”。此镜通体白光，纹饰精美，珍贵难得。
