圆形，伏兽钮。弦纹凸棱将镜背纹饰分为内外两区，内区以葡萄在凸棱边缘上做点缀，留出空间以雕塑四只海兽，海兽在葡萄叶蔓之间攀缘嬉戏，其姿态各异，或匍匐，或卧，或仰望，空隙之处填以花叶葡萄，精美异常。外区饰以喜鹊花鸟，或飞翔或嬉戏于葡萄枝蔓之间，极为写实。整体纹饰采用高浮雕的技法，纹饰造型细部刻画的纤毫毕现，细致入微。动物的羽毛、体态、表情甚至肌 肉的质感都塑造的清晰生动，活灵活现，栩栩如生。凝固千年，实为难得。
