款识：乾隆丙午七月朔日阳湖洪亮吉 说明 释文：灵湫不受污，深浅何足计。小憩松竹鸣，萧萧山雨至。我尝游画山，泉味胜牛乳，梦想寒月泉，携茶就泉煮。提要：洪亮吉（1746-1809年），初名洪莲，又名礼吉，字君直，一字稚存，号北江，晚号更生居士，江苏阳湖（今江苏常州市）人，清代经学家、文学家，毗陵七子之一。祖籍安徽歙县，生于常州。乾隆五十五年，高中榜眼，授翰林院编修。嘉庆四年，上书军机王大臣言事，极论时弊，免死戍守伊犁。次年，诏以“罪亮吉后，言事者日少”，释还家中，居家十年而卒。文工骈体，与孔广森并肩，学术长于舆地。洪亮吉论人口增长过速之害，实为近代人口学说之先驱。
