此盘尺寸颇大，胎体轻薄，成型十分不易。外壁光素，内壁和盘心满印缠枝牡丹麒麟纹，纹饰繁密，模印清晰，极具美感。口沿镶铜包边，以护覆烧芒口，为定窑之特殊工艺，俗称金装定器。底刻官字款。
