此尊造像头戴花冠，面相方圆，高鼻薄唇，纤眉细目，眼睑微开，作下视状，表情端庄，形象秀丽。半跏趺坐于仰覆双重式束腰莲座上，一手于膝一手当胸持法莲；左腿盘坐，右足下垂踩于莲花之上，此为绿度母的标准形象。绿度母是藏传佛教众多佛母像中的一尊，也是流传最广、供奉最多的一尊。相传，她是由观音菩萨泪珠化现的二十一尊度母之一。
