款识：「大明宣德年制」款。来源：加州收藏家于1968年前购于中国纽约苏富比2015年9月15日编号246炉精铜为材，打磨光润。敞口，束颈，扁鼓腹微垂，圈足，线条圆弧流畅，造形典雅端庄。颈两侧饰对称高浮雕狮首，瑞狮狰狞威武，宽鼻阔吻，额头脸面突起，双目圆睁，神采奕奕，毫发毕现，层次分明。底部方框内铸阳文「大明宣德年制」三行六字楷书款，字体端正工整，铸造清晰，为炉中佳品。狮耳炉仿自哥窑狮首大彝炉款式而制，宣德年间御赐五军都督府之用。因狮自古以来为纳吉、彰显权贵之瑞兽，取其威仪以率六军之统。本炉形制比例协调，曲线优美，色泽古穆沉稳，气质浑厚，置于文房案几，顿生古朴雅致气息。
