沈耀初 福建省诏安县人。世居诏安城南士渡乡，故自号士渡人（七十后改士渡叟）。幼喜绘事，精勤敏悟，习诸大家，乐之不倦。1974年获得台湾省画学会最高荣誉“金爵奖”，20世纪70年代末与张大千等被台湾省遴选为“台湾当代十大名画家”。1990年在故乡斥资兴建沈耀初美术馆，后逝世于故乡。
