原配硬木砚匣砚作山石随型样，砚面素净，气息端庄。背留黄璞，色泽艳丽，娇嫩欲滴。剔地浮雕，作山峦片石纹饰。老坑端石质地，纯净细腻，并留名家诗句铭文。【铭文印记】铭文详见本场拍卖之拓片文本【端方】中国清末金石学家。字午桥﹐号陶斋。满洲正白旗人﹐历任工部主事﹑陆军部尚书﹑湖广总督﹑两江总督等职。端方一生嗜好金石书画﹐大力搜集收藏青铜器﹑石刻﹑玺印等文物。主要著作有《陶斋吉金录》《陶斋藏石记》《陶斋藏砖记》《陶斋藏印》等。
