胡家钰（1871-1936），字式如，胡家行六，胡家鼐之弟，其先祖于清乾隆五十年（1785）从浙江上虞县到承德未能知府庆章处做幕僚，协眷定居承德。胡家钰生于清同治十年（1871），自幼聪明好学，喜读古典诗文史籍。光绪十年（1884）他十三岁时考中秀才，十八岁中举。胡家钰博览群书，才思敏捷，对书法颇有造诣。光绪二十一年（1895）考中进士，授礼部编修，后晋为礼部员外郎。
