马西园（1929-2019），甘肃兰州人，回族，伊斯兰哈芝，中国美术家协会、甘肃省书法家协会会员，兰州民族书画学会顾问。书法初宗二王、后追汉魏，于康有为、何绍基等近代大家，亦无不博采精研，笔力雄健，淋漓洒脱，意象高古，神采飞扬；上溯及篆籀，下彰于未有，苦禅跋云：“西园先生书法劲古，近代实不多见”，岂虚言哉。其画，尤得力于宾虹先生。花鸟取法乎青藤白阳，沉浸于八大八家，而终能出离变化，自得天趣。
