Canton enamel and gilt metal box Chinese/European influenced, Qianlong period of rounded circular form with hinged cover, decorated with European figural scenes with the cover showing a lady in a white and brown dress reclining upon a chaise lounge against a background of a table with covered two handled vessel candlestick and two boxes both partly framed by a hanging drape, sides with figural and animal scenes within elaborate cartouches on cracked ice ground, base with leafless tree and grasses, cover interior decorated with naked angel peeping under a naked ladies cloak set against a background of shrubs, all within an elaborate cord cartouche on foliate ground 7cm x 3.5cm
