A LIDDED WUCAI VASE, MING DYNASTYChina, 16th - 17th century. Freely painted in underglaze blue, iron-red as well as yellow, aubergine and green enamels to depict three horses and eight Buddhist treasures. Besides the hairline we see the usual firing imperfections and wear. The lid has some chipping, one with an old repair, and extensive wear.
