(2) 19th century portrait miniatures, one reverse on glass painting of a woman, inscription on frame verso "Phoebe Smith, wife of Capt. Rhodes, after T. [...]; the second a hollow cut silhouette of a man in 19th century dress, with the handwritten inscription "Aug. Edouart [facit?] 1836." Dimensions are: in frame, 5 1/2" X 4 1/2" and 6 1/4" X 5 1/8". All measurements are approximate. Condition: Not examined out of frame; wear to back frame of first miniature, backboard missing lower right corner; lacquer peeling on second frame, appears to be some surface wear to matte, chipping to wood, and backing paper is torn with the framer's label illegible.
